Sandbox & Weird Google keyword tool results.

I have a 3 month old site, it was sandboxed (or so I think) about 5 weeks ago. Main page was ranking in top 10 for about 10-15 keywords I was aiming for. Site is still indexed and listed at the very end of results for the main keyword.

So I put my site in the google keyword tool to find related keywords and the main page is coming up with about 10 results completely unrelated to my site - (ex: write will, how to make websites etc..) (my site is related to electronic products). I tried it on my sub pages as well, one of them does the same thing except gives me about 50 keywords related to making money online. The other 2 pages show related keywords perfectly fine. (They both rank but in the 100-200 range and were added after the sandbox).

I'm wondering if this is just google being useless or if something else is going on here?

site:Website.com shows my pages fine and website.com shows my page as #1

I've never had a site sandboxed before so I'm not sure if this is normal or not.

Anyone know if I should be concerned? or just assume it's a side effect of the sandbox?
 


I'm assuming so, but then how would you tell if something else was going on? I've had no msgs in webmaster tools, the site just dropped a month ago after gaining consistently moving up in the serps for a month.
 
That doesn't necessarily mean a sandbox

.. the sandbox is usually brand new sites that get un natural amounts of links, sand boxing usually means your site is de-indexed , and shows in the serps for almost nothing.

If its just a drop in rankings you've suffered i doubt its a sandbox , it will just be the usual stuff (Plus the latest google ranking algorithm update)
 
The site is fairly new, 3 months now and it dropped after the first month. it is still indexed but in the 400+ range except a few 100-200 and these are very very low competition kws that I am ranking in the 100s for.

The main homepage is not ranking for anything at all, only the subpages which are now ranking in the 200-300 range for my homepage kws as well.

I was using DFB and sent about 300-400 links a day to my money site, however most of these profile links don't get picked up, but I did use dripfeedlogin and linklicious which is why I am guessing I was sandboxed.

I wasn't optimizing my site for 15 kws. I optimized each page for 1 main kw and a few sub kws - but when using anchor text I basically went to a wonderwheel and took 10-15 kws per page and used those as anchor text.

I'm mainly confused about the related kws in google keyword tool as I was going to plug my site in, find related kws and see if I could get some sitewide links on pages related to mine. Instead it starts giving me kws about writing wills, web hosting etc..

Assuming I am sandboxed, I just plan to keep building links and waiting, but if for some reason I'm not, it'd be nice to figure out what's going on.
 
i'm battling a bunch of main pages being sandboxed as well with only sub random pages ranking.

one of em bounced back yesterday but I don't have high hopes for the rest. will keep adding content and links though.
 
Hey mphilips, is your site back to normal ranking yet? It might be some over optimize penalty because I think I got the same problem as well.
