Hello,

I've tried contacting some mods but the private message system won't work for me here; it just takes ages and then says the site is currently unavailable.

I recently paid for a logo, through someone on here. I found them in the design section. I paid through PayPal

I received no contact after payment other than a simple email saying they'd update me ASAP.

I set up a fake email to contact said person and I gave them a fake request. They responded to my fake request, however they haven't responded to my emails on my main account, which leads me to believe that I am getting ignored/scammed.

I don't want to be hasty or anything but this shit pisses me off, especially since the person still has not been banned and has good feedback.

I'd appreciate your help, perhaps I'm just being paranoid...

I will contact PayPal/my bank soon. It's little money but just out of principle. I also do copywriting and I don't throw my hard-earned money away to scammers. It's only $20, but that's like 2 hours at least of copywriting.

I'll post the person's name/site out if they don't get back to me. Agh I don't need this. What do I do now? It's been about 24 hours (but see underlined above!)

Maybe they just think your annoying?

They might not be ready to start on you project but want to take on other projects in the mean time. Is it possible your annoying them? Especially spending time setting up fake accounts just to waste more of this persons time?

If they have good feedback they most likely won't scam you but many providers on WF do have customer service issues. Give it a little bit more time and stop messaging mods and causing such a fuss, its only been LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!

I could respond to this but I'd give away too much info about the person.

I'm not a professional copywriter I just do some on the side.

I only get paid $1/100 words and usually write pretty good stuff which takes me a little while, since I'm a bit of a perfectionist.

EDIT:
No worries I'll just wait it out... probably being paranoid because I'm poor.
 
dude, chill out and wait a little.
you got plenty of time to contact Paypal about this, also bare in mind that sellers sometimes have real issues and things get pushed back.
don't get too angry, not good for your heart.
 
When you want to do a refund or chargeback with Paypal, you 1st want to make sure there is money in his account, otherwise it is a lost cause. So, you 1st need to use your fake alias to purchase his services again.

Pay him the $20 from that alias, then do the refund/chargeback or whatever from the account you got scammed on. Then, you are sure to get your $20 back. Nevermind the $20 you lost from the alias, as revenge is much sweeter than $20 anyway.
 
HAHAHHAH, man I was reading you thread and I was looking for a more distingt clue that a mod have been in the thread and edit your post.

I learned the hard way,,,(lost some $) I only pay when freelance services are completed.
 
OP, you see the problem with pulling stunts like this, is now no respectable provider on WF will be willing to even take your money, much less work with you.

Yes, it sounds like you're one of "those" customers.

Dreamcache will get back to you went he feels like it. In the mean time PM grindstone and tell him dreamcache is taking forever and now ignoring you. He'll do some free work for you.
