Hey WF

I'm looking to get into selling link building services through outsourcing, but to know how to go about this, or even if it is realistic I'm wondering if anyone can educate me on link building:

The types, how much typical rates for typical services are, and anything else I should know.


All information and comments appreciated (insert suitable emoticon here)

Continuing on the "no such thing as a free lunch" line of thinking, you'll need to invest $500 on a non-trojan legit copy of xrumer as well a vast array of proxies (the more ip's the better).

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
 
So it's basically running semi automatic utilities to build links?

I'm sort of asking what kind of techniques there are out there, not to "give away your secrets".

I know at it's most basic it involves a link on a page with content matching keywords of target link site.. and goes all the way to automated submitters.

Anyone care to fill in some details in between?

I think you should spend some time building links for your own sites before offering to build them for others for money

Step 1) Find blog POSTS with a high PR.
Step 2) Comment something about their post.

That's all you have to do. You don't need 100,000 junk backlinks daily. You JUST need to comment high PR blog posts.

You aren't going to get anywhere with high PR domains, only high PR pages.

Have you ever wondered why there are a shit-ton of threads offering "xrumer blasts/scrapeblox blasts/pligg blasts/..." and so very few offering manual blog commenting on high PR blog posts? The reality of it is, you aren't going to get to the #1 spot for a highly competitive keyword without quality backlinks. I'd take 10 PR 5 do-follow backlinks per day over 100,000 xrumer/scrapebox "blasts" per day in a heartbeat, and so would anybody else that knew the first thing about how linkbuilding works.

Having said that, if you can offer the above service, I'll be first on your list.

Have you taken a gander at the "Traffic and Content" forum here? There are plenty of stickies and threads in there discussing this. There's no reason for you to be clueless on the concepts of it.

Read them, use the search feature here for targeted reading, and if it isn't being helpful; use Google for your search term and tack on "site:wickedfire.com" at the end of the query to get more results.

After you figure out how to link build (because this is a very common question) then go and look at the Links and SEO subforum of the Buy, Sell, Trade section here. Look at what people offer, PM them and ask them what percentage of the sale they'd pay you for referrals, then have at it.

It's a very simple process of learning the market and then figuring out who will give you a decent service and higher ROI Share (Mgrunin joke intended).
 
Brilliant answers! it's giving me exactly what I need to think about.

What you say about Xrumer really makes sense to me Sinack.. there's just SO much crap out there it feels overwhelming to separate the good from the bad.

I have some sites in need of loving and I will certainly take the time to build back links and get the feel, the service was just a simple idea I had built on a basic model (buy something cheap, sell for a bit more). Then again I have new ideas all the time, but link building is really something I would like to get into.
