I'm looking for a new email solution.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know hushmail is not good, and some of the solutions out there are just not practical.

POP3, have your e-mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) set to automatically download it every 5 mins. And make sure it's set to automatically delete messages off the POP3 server too. Don't leave personal communication sitting on your server.

Don't use any web mail. Very stupid thing to do.

inb4 people blast me for saying using Gmail is stupid and insecure.

I'm a big believer now in Bitmessage. Shit's legit, but it's not mail exactly. Using the bitmessage.ch mail gateway can allow you to accept (lessor-secure) emails to it, however.

ProtonMail - Secure Email, Made Simple is awesome for a secure web server if you can make it past their wait list.

Safe-mail.net is free and acceptable for most usage, but encrypted with another layer of GPG it's about as secure as you could ask for.
