Security Badge Importance

If you do not have some sort of "This site is secure" badge on your website, you are losing lots of customers.

I have a product that I sell which was getting approximately one sale every 3 days.

Yesterday, I put up a "This site is secured and verified" badge on it and have gotten 3 sales.

Too little time to tell if its the badge or a fluke but I'm hoping its the badge.

Your stats are far too low to actually have any statistical relevance.
If you were making 20 sales a day on average, and then started doing 22 on average, with the averages taken over a 7-14 day period that'd be statistically relevant enough to make those claims.

But in some respects, you are correct. People are more likely to purchase from what they believe to be a reliable source. It's why you always see those bullshit "as seen on CNN" stickers on sites for Acai or whatever.
