Self Serve Ad System - Do I have to roll my own?

I want a self serve ad system for some of my local websites where owners can log on and manage their own advertisements.

I looked at openx but it seems to be for one administrator.

Do I have to roll my own?

There's actually quite a few out there, depending on your requirements - here's the hotscripts php ad management script section for example:

Some are paid, some open source but there should be something in that lot you could use.

Looks like OpenX might have the user abilities you're looking for.

Its admin interface is laid out extremely weird

I am in the same boat as the OP. This issue has been killing my local site scalability for months, glad someone was able to articulate the problem and asked.

Zedo has a self-service option. It's used by Freiendster.com and a few others.

OpenX module is available for Drupal. I've used Advertisement for a while on a couple sites and it works well.
