Site Details:
We started this website in 2003 when Oklahoma expanded gambling laws and allowed poker into indian casino's. At the time, none of the casino's had any card room information or tournament schedules. It continued this way for a couple years until each casino website got on the ball and started providing the information on their individual website. We took the liberty of combining all the weekly tournament schedules and card room information for every casino offering poker in the state. To this day, we are the only website that has this all the information organized into one area. We have combined these methods along with affiliate marketing to make a popular and profitable website.
What's included:
I've recently had twin baby girls who take up much of my free time. I litterally have no time to sit on the computer let alone promote my website. It just makes sense to get it into someone's hands that can profit from it and take it to the next level.
Source of Members:
Most of our members consist of players from all over the Southern United States. We have held numerous live tournaments at a variety of Oklahoma casino's. We were also a featured sponser of the PGA Championship held in Tulsa Oklahoma of 2007. We also host a live weekly tournament on Poker Stars that drives internet players to visit our site.
Traffic Details:
Traffic comes from multiple different locations including search engines, print ads, word-of-mouth, forum signatures and direct hits. Most every poker player in Oklahoma knows us by name.
Revenue Details:
In 2006 (our best year), we made just shy of $18,500 USD. We were promoting our weekly private tournament quite heavily and earned money through Poker Stars affiliate program. We also tried the same strategy with Full Tilt but our users decided they liked Poker Stars better. We have earned through Full Tilt and Absolute affiliate programs as well. We have also earned income through hosting private tournaments at live casino's in the state. We've also earned advertisting dollars directly from the casino's as well. Last year in 2007, we made a tad over $11,000. This was due to my girls being born in October and not having the proper time to devote to it. Google Adsense has made us some nice earnings as well especially since we are casino-related.
