I'm looking for a way to create accounts and then login repeatedly to a list of forums I have - eg ive got a list of 20 widget forums, i want to set up legit accounts, manually make a load of general posts on threads over several visits and then go back in and either manaully add a sig or edit the posts to linkdrop.

Any thoughts on automating parts of this?
I'm thinking setting up the account manually and then start Imacros recording the initial login so that i can fire it up again and login to all of them in a tab each at a press of a button.
Or is there a firefox plugin that saves the browser state once they are all logged in and lets me restore all open tabs and all logged in?
or will something like xrumer or similar create me a load of accounts from a list of forums and desired usernames and leave a browser window sitting there so I can make intelligent posts?

If anyone's got a quick pointer to something for me to read up on that would be great.

I know this is almost a month old -- But it doesn't seem like you got any answers so I will give it a shot...

Here is my exact method for creating Forum Profiles... I only do profiles... I don't see any need for making posts, unless the forum requires it before they allow you to put stuff in your signature... In this case, if I have to post before I put stuff in my profile, I just skip it because I get lazy sometimes :)

When doing it "manually" I use RoboForm, Google, YMail, and SEOQuake (for checking the PR of the forum)

Just enter in your details, and this is what you will use for EVERY forum you register to...

On FireFox I keep 3 Windows Open.
1. Google with the Footprint in the search box
2. My YMail account (or whatever I happen to be using) for fast confirmation emails.
3. The forum I am registering to.

I just click my RoboForm button, it fills in the registration details, I go to my email to confirm it and then I go to the signature spot to put it my info... This is kinda the "tricky" part... On RoboForm, you have to create custom fields for whatever field you want to fill out (in this case Signature) you just make a field for it to look for "Bio" "Signature" or whatever else the forum calls it, and then paste the BB code in the other field and there you have it...

I'd say all in all it takes about 1-2 mins per profile, which isn't bad for manual/semi-automation... I like doing it this way because you have control over seeing everything thats going on!

Hope this helps man... Sorry for such a late reply :)
