So I dumped some contact details in one of those crappy lead sites to see what SEO companies could do for me. The short of the request being "I want to build authority, I want relevant authoritative incoming links, what's your link building strategy for my situation?" So far I'm up to three of the five calls I'm meant to get, here is a summary:
Company 1) Chick had an idea what I was talking about, understood why I wanted to build authority and detailed their link building strategy along with how they work their inbound link goals.
Company 2) Hurrr durrr we rank you for "keyword city" like tomorrow kay? Oh you want to know about our link building strategy? Hurrrr lemme call you back.
Company 3) Okay, so you want to build authority, not links? Do you haz twitter/fb/myspace/livejournal/blahblahblah accounts for site?
*sigh* the next two calls should be entertaining...
