As part of a team of marketers working for a brick & mortar online marketing company in the UK, I am responsible for getting feedback from you guys for a special promo we will be running soon.
It will be based around an SEO competition. The competition will be completely free to enter, and have some substantial prizes offered to not only the winners, but all entrants and runners up too.
We were decided on a prize structure when I had the idea of coming here and asking you guys for advice on the prizes since, ultimately, it is you guys who will be receiving them!
So. What I want is some feedback on the idea and prizes to be offered. What do internet marketers want to win? Everyone would like a free iPad2, right?
We are going to give every person who enters the competition 6 months free hosting anyway just for entering.
The competition model will be along the lines of having the keyword the competitors need to rank for announced to everyone at a pre-arranged time. We will use professional rank tracking software to keep track of rankings and post daily updates of all competitors based on google.com's SERPS.
