SEO guy slays the dragons and gets 2 million dollars for 4% of his SEO biz

You'll rarely see such a confident pitch on Dragons Den or Sharks Tank. He came for 2 million and got almost all dragons beg him for a piece of it:

I could only find this preview on YouTube since it just aired a few days ago (if anyone can find the full pitch that'd be awesome)

Basically this gay webmaster (who probably has a WF account and will chime in on this thread at some point) runs Real Estate Webmasters, a company that provides SEO and web development for realtors.

Not entirely sure why I STILL haven't learnt my lesson about reading youtube comments.

thought he was some kind of relestate agent type website.

But from what it sounds like he's just a glorified web designer who cut off 99% of his market and cators his ability to make websites to people who own relestate companies.

This was a huge thing 10 years ago any tom dick and jerry who knew how to write a web page (Back then it was even easier as using just straight up html would make you more then qualified). Companies were dishing out big for you too as web desighn intimidated people. so a 3 month education could have you making 50k+ a year working from home on freelance work.

Then the Chinese came around and offered the same work for fraction of the costs. and pre made professional easily pirated flash templates ect.. And killed that market 10 fold. This guys company is about 10 years to late. And what the hell why such a large start up it costs like 10 dollars to rent a server.

And hey, that guy kinda looks like a fat version of me. Not really, but kinda... Take 30lbs off that guy, and you'll have an idea of what I look like.
 
Hmm.... Being gay webmaster isn't that bad. Is there a lot of pain involved?

Srs, niche SEO isn't new at all but, for sure it could be easier way. Cosmetic surgeons, security firms, offices etc.
 
INB4 his customers notice that Google is pushing out local realtors in favor of big brand realtors/real estate sites (Zillow, Realtor.com, Redfin,Trulia Homes.com, ZipRealty, etc).
 
I'm happy for Morgan; he's been a longtime fixture in SEO, crushing it on the real estate side of the biz for years and years. It was great seeing him pull in the bucks.
 
I am delighted for this guy. It looks like he has a great company. I agree that it would be cool if he has an account here, could offer us some inspiring nuggets.
