I've gotten pretty well ranked for some good keywords on one of my product blogs. Unfortunately, they are keywords that get traffic, but not sales. I'll be expanding out into a larger number of these blogs with this kind of knowledge.

I obviously won't have the time to manage this many blogs at once, so I will be building them, writing articles, and finishing them up in a few days to a week. I have a few questions here.

a) How many different articles should I have up for each niche blog to start pulling in decent traffic? I've got about 30 on my first attempt at this and it gets 50+ views just from Google a day. They never convert, though. (189 clicks on CJ, 1 sale >.<)

b) How many words is preferable for Google to pick them up?

c) Should I post all the articles as quickly as possible, or schedule them so they are released one a day or so for a month to two months?

After each site is the developed, I'd see how it goes. If I'm making 20 - 30 - 50 - 100+ dollars a day on it, I would know to keep working on it, obviously. If not, I can drop it/sell it/whatever it/turn it into a rickroll site.

I think that's it for now. I would go with the PPC route, however, using my student loans for PPC would be silly. Unless you want to borrow me the cash (+rep to you) I won't be able to get into it until I develop some successful sites.

Thanks,

Justin

The traffic is probably not converting because you are shit at selling to them.

Could be. I've changed the model a bit to see if it will work any better. I'm a noob, and I can't deny that as soon as I started working on the site, I made some huge mistakes. Whether or not it is irreversible, I don't know. It's been my first real dip into IM/AM.

It would be a concern if you're not able to convert your traffic and offering freelance writing services as you've mentioned in your sig.

I think it's yr copy.

Have you read "tested advertising methods" by john caples, or "my life in advertising" by claude hopkins?

there're bunches of book recommendations here and it sounds like your problem is the copywriting more than anything else.
