Yea, it's a double post, but different subject. I think this is probably the best place to ask this question.

I got the startup plan from SEOHosting.com (hostgator spinoff). Gives me 5 IPs on different c-blocks (im a networking retard, but I understand I need this for what I am going to do.) and also a reseller account with it for $35/mo.

My question is -

Is this a total waste of time because of the fact that most people that are on these servers are spamming? I have a feeling that these IP addresses are going to get blacklisted, unless they are totally unique.

I'd love to hear from anyone with experience with this host or type of hosting.

Thanks man. I don't want to shoot myself in the foot before I start running.

I checked and the one that I have been assigned is fine. I guess I'll keep the account open until I have a problem.

I don't plan on putting any money sites on it anyway.

If you're going to spend 35 a month, you might as well get 5 separate hosting accounts from different providers in different parts of the country (or other countries), unless you really need the reseller plan.

Great point. I got this first month free with some coupon code. I haven't used it yet because I am just now setting up my first money site. I think I'll cancel and take your advice.

You guys are the shit. This place reminds me of a gaming forum, only the game is making money. (I play darkfall when I have time, which is never in the last 3 months . .)

Can anyone recommend any web hosting companies to use other than gatorhost and zensix?

I think Jondoe0069 is right, it's best to spread it out over multiple companies.
