Hopefully this thread will help us all discover some cool new apps...

I start: Burner (iPhone)

This app lets you instantly get a temporary phone number, for a period of 7, 30 days or more. You choose the area code and you give your number a new name (e.g. "Cat Donation Ad"). When someone calls your Burner number, your phone rings normally and your call display shows you the name you gave.

I use it when I post ads on CL, Kijiji and don't want to leave my real phone number. You can use it to call hookers when you're in Vegas partying with gay webmasters too. Overall a great app for stalkers and criminals.

Next!

Instagram.

This app lets you take gay hipster pics and share them with your friends.

Grindr. It is a gay webmaster forum after all.

Why only 1 app?

Android,

PowerAmp - haven't found a better music player.
QuickPic - fast image viewer, way better than stock.
Note Everything - for those who don't want to use evernotes cloud stuff.
Jump Desktop - excellent RDP/VNC
Smart Settings - individual settings for individual applications.(rotate etc..)
Business Calendar - Best calendar/widget combo hands down.
Go Launcher - Stock UI replacement.

Best (recently): RunKeeper is a great running app with surprisingly little bullshit in it. They don't push the upgraded version hard at all and their web interface is great.

Worst: Hipchat. Jesus fuck this app sucks. I email them weekly to tell them this. Having been acquired by Atlassian you'd think they'd have a pimp ass version launched, but alas, I am still a sad panda every time I need to chat with the serpIQ guys while on the road.

Fitness buddy - Shows you different exercise routines that hit various muscles across your body.

downcast (the only podcast client needed)
dropbox
lastpass
flashlight (must have)
Cydia & Installous & Appcake( you did jailbreak your phone?)
Evernote
pixlromatic & or snapseed(editing photos)
Drafts (markdown)
n+otes ( great note keeper)
imgupr (shitty but only imgur up-loader)

Android

Pocket - best app I have. they should really charge for it.
Falcon Pro - Best Android Twitter app by far.
DroidSheep - Only works on rooted Android phones. Sniffs web sessions over wi-fi. It's great in a room of Facebook users ;-). Most likely illegal to use. Not on Play store, you've to download and compile or find an APK.
A working Call Recorder - Only works on certain phones like s2 and s3. Records through the actual phone and not a shitty hack. Probably illegal as well. I like having records of all my phone calls though, especially when people be drunk-dialling.

Sleep Cycle alarm: pretty sweet alarm clock that takes movement and sleep cycles into consideration when waking you. Also has some gay nature sounds to help you get to sleep.

Yup, runkeeper is awesome. I'm currently at 512 miles logged.

Another vote for runkeeper.
Especially for internet guys who are very used to gleaming insights from statistics. Really is very fascinating to look at the patterns and stats from your runs.

Android

Endomondo and Runtastic Pro for running/walking
Google Sky Map for the nerds
Dropbox - set it up to automatically upload your photos
