I absolutely love this show and Kevin was a monster in the beginning with Scrub Daddy. You have to love the fact that he just wants to wake up, check his mailbox, and receive that check.GAY

Another Galaxy S3 placement too. Gotta love the hustle.

Another Galaxy S3 placement too.

First time: mmm alright that's cool but I see what you did there.

Second time: fuck off.

I'd call it over-placement already even though the TV medium of marketers still believe in 3 impressions. Probably bias to the situation but it's so blatant it just becomes obnoxious and makes me feel repulsive towards the S3 and T-Mobile.

The T-Mobile product placement's getting annoying

Scrub Daddy - Obviously a great product. Damon was definitely a bitch. Lori could do the deal herself and he got butt hurt that she didn't wanna partner with him. Kind of a bitch move to announce that you purposely jacked the price up $100k to screw her over.

Bear and the Rat - What's up with all the pet treat shit on this show. My freezer's already full of human food, no room for ice cream for my dog.

Unicycle - Pretty cool. $1,800 is cheaper than $6k for a Segway. Insane profit margins, $350 to build and retails for $1,800. I'm gonna keep a close eye on this company, will be cool to see where they end up. Glad to see Robert and Wonderful finally invest in something this season.

Fashion Lady - I don't really know enough about women's fashion to comment on it. It's hard to invest in someone that was an alcoholic and bankrupt.

Well, as to investor show, Uk's Dragons Den looks more professional and serious. But still like Shark Tank and Dragons Den Canada.

By the way, I guess there should be some blog post or something with all these business cases and how they are performing currently when investments have been given?

I'm also curious if they said yes during the demonstration, and behind the cameras (as more information was revealed about the company) withdrew their offers.

Of course.

What if I said my shit did $1 million in sales last year but the paperwork only says I did $100k? People are on TV, in front of rich businessmen, they may fib a little bit to get the investments.

They get their own lawyers to make sure everything's legit with the company.

People who go on the show sign disclaimers that allows further due diligence by the Sharks and their lawyers, accountants etc - what you see on the show is only the "sexy" part.
The show's producers (ABC) also sign into the contract either 2% royalties or 5% equity for anyone going on the show, to help cover production costs apparently.

UK's dragon's den is professional? are you fucking kidding me? 90% of the ideas of that show are fucking stupid and I believe they only do like 3-4 deals the entire fucking seasons.

UK version is the worst. Canada is much better but US is def the best

If they had subtitles for the British people and what they label as "English" - I'd watch.

Otherwise it's like every other Brit production without subtitles.

Is it possible to watch the UK show online? Watching the US/CA and loving it but open to see other ideas.

Yeah all this product placement costs a lot of money.

Does survivor make its castaways pay anything to help cover it's production costs? Or is Jeff nice and covers everyone out of his own pocket.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!

Those are ALL Actors & Models working from a fucking script!!!!

Everyone on that show GETS PAID to be on that damn show!!!!!!

From the very first time Jeff pulled the names outta that pot in the first season it was obvious that the shit wasn't real.

Kinda like a Bass Fishing show where every 10 lb. LUNKER is hooked in the UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF THE TOP OF HIS MOUTH so that Bill Dance who's hook shy these days doesn't get nailed. (Sorry, but If I catch 5 different fish they will NOT all be hooked in the same place. Just doesn't happen. He puts DIVERS out in the lake with a basket of pre-caught BASS that they hook onto his lure while the camera is on him.

Just like Jeff is NOT going to ALWAYS pull an EVEN number of names from that jar like happens 90% of the time.

ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!

I'm really disappointed at most of the pitches this season. :(

Also, I really don't know how anyone can sit through UK's Dragon's Den. It's just a super awkward show. The few episodes I watched, it seemed like they did zero editing. All kinds of silence and pauses. Just awful.

Dragon's Den Canada is my favorite by far. They have a ton of crappy products being pitched but the Dragons seem to have a good time, so it's entertaining.

I couldn't even get through the first episode of the UK version, totally worthless watch.

Don't care, can't watch...

That T-Mobile tie in was painful, I actually thought the first one was done fairly well. I noticed it, but it didn't piss me off like this last once.

I was surprised at how badly that baby bottle is doing, only 300k in revenue - I thought they would've easily done a million in sales with all the press from shark tank.

I wonder what % of the company they need to give up for the update?

Also LOL at needing a % of the company for 'production' costs, this has seriously got to be one of the cheapest shows to make on TV. If I see another dog product, I am going to fuck somebody up.
