HarveyJ

He is - THE CACTUS!
So for the science geeks like me, you know that the Large Hadron Collider is being switched on later today for primary testing.
Full capacity won't be on for about another year as the thing needs to warm up a bit (to roughly 8000x the heat of our sun), but that hasn't stopped idiots the world over insisting that we're all going to die.
There's nearly a dozen threads of DP where you can easily play spot the retard / guy-that-dropped-out-of-school-in-year8 / virgin-angry-at-how-they're-going-to-die-before-touching-a-boob due to this one issue.

But this bet got me thinking that we could have easily run a brilliant scam involved in betting on this event.
The scam would have been that you pay out 1,000,000:1 odds on the world ending. 100,000:1 if you wanted to make it more realistic.
Inevitably, you know there'd be enough idiots falling for it to bet... You'd just have needed to go to Warrior forums for some cashed up morons!

It's just like the "Double your IQ or no Money Back" program!

Fuck, I wish I'd thought of this sooner :'(

nao wait a minet.. how will i has mone if world ends dont get it :S

well they havn't actually started colliding any particles.. so you still have time to do it. I read somewhere they're not doing the first collision for another month +

Seriously HarveyJ, this is childish. Its way simpler to just hit up Adwords with ads for a Hadron Collider offer - there has to be a network out there that's providing those, right?

Actually, in all seriousness, LabTrader used to have an affiliate program. Although, I'm not sure if they ever had atom smashers.

That being said... Do you reckon an eBook on how to build your own particle accelerator for only $17 would sell on ClickBank? :D
Or does it have to be "Get Rich By Making Your Own Particle Accelerator At Home in $ Simple Steps"?
