Buy a real (non working) American Express Black Card | eBay

3 reasons:
- charity event
- he gets inkbait out of it (as you've demonstrated)
- ego boost. $300 for a useless card? Lets see you sell something worthless for more.

My best friend has a black card and I can definitely say that there are VIP reservations available around the country for Centurion members. You have to call, but certain restaurants hold tables every day for members. Also, I dunno what clubs he's talking about, but waiving your black card in the face of a bouncer at XS in Vegas (or just about any other club) won't get you anywhere.

Centurion cards aren't what they used to be. When I worked at American Express (over ten years ago) the card was made out of titanium (his looks plastic) and the annual fee was $15k. My job was to go through accounts spending more than $1M/month, on average, and send out invites.

Now $50k/month and a call asking for the card is all it takes. Plus I think the annual fee is more like $1-2k now.

I'm pretty sure I still have a couple of demo cards in storage somewhere. I didn't realize people will pay money for useless cards. Maybe I need to hit up eBay. Hah.

You don't wave a piece of plastic at a bouncer, you wave $20.
