Banksy's art is kinda cool. I gained a lot of respect for him after his mockery of the art industry in Exit Through the Gift Shop.
What a stupid cunt.
He's made a brand of himself (the reach of which blows me away considering he's a silly prick who paints shit on walls) and he banks (no pun intended) very nicely off it.
What do these dumb arseholes think would happen if we all just shut our doors tomorrow? Would it be some kind of eutopian wonderland where everyone looks after each other, war ends, there is world peace and no more starving black kids on TV.
These fucken arseholes need to be taken to a Siberian labour camp for a couple of years so they can truly appreciate capitalism. Then once they're back, and broken have the idea of a free market explained to them.

Read it again - he isn't saying Fuck The Advertisers. He's saying feel free to deface any advert in a public space, something I wholeheartedly agree with. If you thought about it, I'm not sure any of you could disagree with it either - do you really support the legal system which allows butthurt corporates to have your domains taken off you just because they happen to be similar to theirs?
Banksy blatantly isn't anti-capitalist (even though he cynically positions his messages that way), because otherwise he wouldn't have accepted so much money for his artwork.

I did buy one of his pieces about 12 years ago at an exhibition before he was well known for around £70, never hung it though. Sold it on ebay a few years ago when he was a name for over £3,000 so its all good
