OK I have been promoting this dating offer & have made around $2000 in 20 days at $3.5 CPA. The volume is rising day by day and so I expect to make another 2000$ in 10 days. Should I ask for a higher payout on the offer? Or should I remain happy with what I'm getting?

I remember this thread by Smaxor in which he talked about possibilities of lead shaving if you ask for higher payouts.

Thoughts?

#1 - Use offervault and see if the offer is paying more at another network.
#2 - Split test your current payout at the current network with the new network/higher payout.
#3 - Compare EPC's. If the EPC at the new network you test is higher then the old network/lower payout, ask for a raise at the old network. Then keep split testing and watching EPC's. If your EPC falls or stays the same at the old network AFTER a pay bump, move your traffic to the new network.

Why not just be straight up with them and ask "can you increase my payout without scrubbing or shaving me?". I think with what you know you can just act like you know the scrubbing/shaving game (which you do), and ask them to be transparent to you about this.

If they then do increase your payout, you have their word about them not scrubbing you. Not bullet proof, but a lot better then nothing.

Don't forget that they in turn make money from your efforts, you are as valuable to them as they are to you. narsticles advice is spot on.

That's what I would do, if the offer is not on it's absolute max. Another option is to ask them to drop your ref and snag another 5%.

You're exactly right.

If you have an opportunity to work together, our dating sites will make you easy money, and I'll give you a nice fat payout, even a bonus start. :)let's chat.

Always ask. All they can say is no :)

If you're running consistent traffic they should be happy to give you a bumpski.

Of course when you do always watch your EPC to see that it goes up accordingly. If it doesn't split test against another network and see what kind of numbers you get.

As an AM I would always be willing to give the highest payouts possible to my trusted affiliates. As long as they've produced high quality volume in the past, I would have no problem with doing this. Obviously I'd be less inclined to if this was false.

thats bullshit. How about you offer every one of your affiliates a top payout because someone who didn't do any volume for you last month can be your top earner this month.

If you've been generating decent volume on a steady basis; then feel free to ask. What actually matters more is that the volume remains constant; not jumping from 1k leads one today, to 25 leads the next; it just brings additional worry to the Affiliate Manager. Or if there is a gradual increase, that is fine also.

In your case, I would wait to hit 30 days; and then request that raise from your Affiliate Manager. That would be the best way to deal with this issue, and get as much raise as possible.

Indeed, I don't understand the logic behind giving top-affiliates more. I've been moving a bit to the merchant side and been thinking about this.

My logic on it is to give everybody the same good commission. After all if it isn't profitable for a starting affiliate why would they continue?

b/c you can take thinner margins with higher volume. top affiliates bring higher volume.

In reverse, but still applies to the situation, it's the same reason why you can get a discount if you buy in bulk

Thats very unlikely. When you have one client that is doing 20 times what the smaller guys are doing and you have like a hundred or more people under you its tough.

AM's have bosses that usually they have to get quick approval to up a payout for someone, or at the very least the bosses review who is giving out higher payouts on a daily or weekly basis and since the boss is concerned with how much the company is pulling in they don't look too kindly on an AM that is asking for increase payouts for random people all day. Someone who is bringing in little to no volume and getting upset at their AM for not upping a payout is not being very cool :) I mean if you are bringing the company thousands and thousands in profits, they have no problem with it because you are earning so much anyway and these are the people that deserve the higher payouts. Heck if anything it gives you something to shoot for every month so you can get those higher payouts.

Did it and it worked! Your advice was great & so is my AM

Yep! That strategy always work. If you're doing reasonable volume consistently, just ask your affiliate affiliate manager if he give you a bump. And if you're in good term with AM, they bump you up form the start :)
