Instead of Google which is much more aggressive with everything, the adv should try out a get paid with Yahoo. The brand name is just as recognizable and Yahoo would probably not care that their name is being used to push some bunk ass product. Hell, they will probably like the publicity.

agree?

yeah,i think they gonna LOVE this idea!

Actually I'm sure Yahoo would take the same stance. Hell they sued a local restaurant here called "Hooya!" for using a "variation" of their name and the same font in their logo. It was a local mom and pop burrito shop, wasn't even a chain.

Yahoo will sue you for trademark infringement. That is why you don't see a lot of "Yahoo Profits" type offers.

Let's call it "Greasy Yahoo! Profits". The subhead can be "Sue me and I beat your Ass. I've been to jail before, d00d."

The Trailer Park Boys can be the spokesmen.

Stay away from Yahoo with a 100 foot pole.

An Advertiser last year HAD "Make Money With Yahoo" offers. Clickbooth carried the ad. We mailed it for 30 days, it rocked, then I got a phonecall from a Yahoo attorney.

They were literally contacting every pub who did them via email, especially if you were hitting the Yahoo inbox, and giving a verbal C&D (cease or get dicked). They then contacted the Advertiser and the offer was pulled within 48 hours I believe.

You'll notice no new Yahoo offers exist... it's ashame because the Yahoo offer had an enormous EPC for email, and was one of our best offers ever.

I agree it sounds silly to mail a Yahoo offer on the Yahoo network, but it wasnt converting as well on other domains, and we thought the offer was legit since Clickbooth carried it...
