IMO if you have a decent site this is a no-brainer. The site is excellent quality and I can only see this developing and improving.

I have seen some sellers selling far inferior products for significantly more money. Plus your purchase also helps seed the site.

SimplyGeeky.com is a custom coded "built with" type of gallery that is destined to become the biggest, highest quality "built-with-cool-tech" gallery on the web!

A few months ago I decided to get out of selling links and focus on building something truly awesome. A website/service I can be proud of. This is how the idea to create SimplyGeeky was born.

SimplyGeeky is a moderated, high quality website gallery that lists interesting websites and web apps along with some information on how they were built.

Every submission is strictly moderated and has to pass our submission guidelines.

What's the end goal?

To build a gallery that has thousands of quality listings and gets thousands of unique daily visitors. Adding a geeky/tech blog to the gallery is going to play a pretty big role in this (ETA 2-3 weeks).

Listings will be updated on a regular basis by adding new features, changing up listing layouts and all that stuff until they are perfect. :)

What's to come?

A lot. A blog (already mentioned this), a robust site search feature, more categories, more informative listings, a very nice user panel (this is a big one!) and a lot more. This is my baby - I'm working on this project full time.

This is my only project right now and I'm dead serious about making it a long term success!

How much is it?

Just $25 for a lifetime listing.

Why so cheap? Well, I need good listings and you want to get more visitors and exposure for your website/business. It's a win-win as far as I'm concerned!

Right so I've been working on the site all day long:

  • Support for even more social media properties will be rolled out later tonight.
  • More categories (along with more category icons) will be added later tonight.
  • Fixed a few small bugs in the admin dashboard.

Just wanted to drop a note in here - absolute has mentioned this project to me a few times now and he's super passionate about making it into a quality legit site with a bunch of awesome features. If you've got a legit authority type site or your clients demand super high quality links, you need to book yourself a spot before he jacks the price up.

Done:

  1. Added support for Youtube profile links.
  2. Added a new category.
  3. Fixed up some category pics/icons.
  4. Doubled the number of listings that appear on each page.
A lot more updates coming tomorrow!

I'm not selling these listings for their link power, but you're right - these are exceptional, 100% white hat links. Plus with all the upcoming updates to the site things are only going to get better.

My main focus for the next six months is to reach 1000+ daily unique visits from Google. Content publishing starts in about two weeks and once everything is in place this special half price deal is over. :)

Working on today:

  1. Getting Facebook and Twitter set up and integrated properly.
  2. Update all of the existing listings with extra content.
  3. Loads and loads of promotion off-site.

Alright so I've been working on promoting this gallery everywhere, sent out dozens of guest post requests, things should start picking up soon!

  1. Integrate Facebook and Twitter like buttons on listing pages.
  2. Add website twitter/facebook page links to the header.
  3. Add some more high quality sites to the gallery. :)
  4. Set up GA and webmaster tools.
  5. Set up and submit a sitemap to GWT.

EDIT: just a FYI everyone - there are a lot of changes coming in the next month or so as I iterate over the development/design of the site. I've had some amazing feedback from all of you which I'm very grateful for! Some of the changes that are being worked on (but will take a little while to implement):

1. A complete revamp of submissions guidelines after the site is re-deployed. This won't affect current listings, but the new submission process will be tougher.

2. A slight change in direction for the site: I'm adding a different menu system that will allow people to filter homepage results based on framework, design style, niche, etc. A bit like what ThemeForest guys do with their gallery pages.

3. Categories are getting reworked completely. The focus will shift from "built-with" to include different design styles (flat, etc), frameworks, niches, etc.

4. Site listings are going to be expanded and improved A LOT. Colour schemes, user ratings and many other additions are coming soon.

All of these changes should hopefully provide a lot more value to regular visitors and help grow the popularity of the site. Plus, I'll have a much broader range of popular topics to blog about (a blog will be added fairly soon).

ALL existing listings will retain the same URL's and undergo a lot of improvements, so there's nothing for you to worry about. I plan to continue working on this to improve user experience and offer as much value to regular visitors as possible. After all, if simple visitors love the site, it's going to benefit both you and me. :)
