Slow P202 Redirects on Shared Hosting?

So I have P202 running on shared hosting. It's doing a few K clicks per day. Sometimes when doing some testing I noticed that the redirect would "freeze". Browser says something like: "Connected to jerrysp202.com. Waiting for reply..."

And it would just chill there for like maybe 5-6 seconds. So eventually it would redirect but after a huge delay which is enough to make any surfer go "screw it!". What is this a symptom of? What is happening technically? Is the hosting getting overloaded with simultaneous redirects and can't handle them all quickly? What's the solution?

A few thousand clicks per day is probably ok, assuming it's spread out relatively evenly. If you're doing a few thousand clicks in 15 min, that's another story.

For technical details, you main want to post in the Hosting / Domains section. My understanding is that it has something to do with your SQL tables.

A solution would be to throttle your traffic (if possible), or to upgrade your hosting.

Note: You may also want to check the load times of your LPs. If you have a lot of graphics and scripts loading, that can slow things down. This is helpful in that regard: http:**gtmetrix.com

Stop using shared hosting, easiest solution. Vps os affordable and more reliable if cost is a concern

Why do people use shared hosting? A server is only $99 a month that will easily handle your shit. If you can't afford that, maybe you should work at McDonalds so you can.

Get liquidweb's entry VPS. It's $50/mo and completely managed. Focus more on marketing and let them take care of the server shit. that will last you until you're making enough dough to afford a dedicated server.
