Slow Vista Unzip

I've had Vista on my new laptop for a few weeks now and the only thing left giving me a major case of the shits is how long it takes to unzip files.

Has anyone come across a cure for this yet ?

Never have any problems here, I use WinRAR. What program are you using?

I'm using the built in zip that comes with windows, don't like paying for something that should already work.

I've Googled the problem and all I find is a lot of people coming up with the same problem, but no solutions.

I tried 7zip, it would install, read files, but not unzip them.

WinRAR is free, there's a paid version but I've never had to pay for it.

If you're doing a lot of bulk unzipping of different files of varying compressed formats, then UnZipThemAll works quite nicely.

And it's completely free.

I've just downloaded it, 40 day trial then $29, i should ask M$crosoft to reimburse me as there software is broken.
