I'm just wondering how does anyone here actually make any money? Most of the posts I have read don't offer any specifics regarding money making strategies.

There are too many people asking for help regarding wordpress installs, code installation, and other technical topics (which can be easily answered by performing a google search BTW). But little discussion about how to make money that doesn't contain info that I already know. OK...build a wordpress blog. Add content. I know that already. Arbitage? yes ..but is it all? Probably not but you woudnt know it reading the posts here.

Yesterday I wrote a tutorial on how to get your site on the front of digg and the reception was very harsh. A lot of people complained it was too obvious, but it isn't much more obvious than most of the stuff already written here. Yet I got flamed when I was trying to contribute.

No one is going to hold your hand in this. It's a competitive game. You should be so lucky to have a resource like this forum. You could always take the alternative route and spend hundreds of dollars on e-books which will teach you exactly what you are learning here.

I'm grateful for all of the shit I've learned from the people on this forum, but your ass keep bitching and being lazy.

Oh shit, you threw together a blog and some content. What the fuck do you expect, a million dollar check mailed to your stupid ass? There are a thousand fucking ways to make money online. You picked the blog option, did a half ass-ed job at it, and now expect to make some money for an hour of work?

Read between the lines dude. There won't be many step by step instructions here because as soon as they're posted, they quickly drop in value. Many people here give out great ideas and tips that go unnoticed by tards like you because you're looking for the easy route.

The people making money have been doing it for a long time and know the ropes, so they're not picking up from the ground floor. They're working hard, realize its not as easy as they thought, and keep pushing through. Tards like you give up after a week.

You'd be lying if you said you didn't join this forum to learn how to make more money online.

When you login here everyday I'm sure your looking for posts that contain information that portains to your goal of making more money online through affiliate marketing, adsense, or whatever.

From what I've gathered, the majority of posts here contain stuff I already know (and I'm sure you already know as well). Build a blog with content, add RSS feeds, submit to digg, etc. But what keeps you coming back here is the faint hope that someday someone will divulge something you don't already know about..that golden nugget of information that can transform your online precence...
 
Nobody here will say "hey, this is that golden nugget!" because what is golden to you is crap to other people.

I've been here all of a few weeks, and I feel like I graduated high school. I have learned more in the span of a few weeks by reading and by people here helping than I could have learned from all the ebooks out there (and yes, I have read quite a few and none of them ever measured up).

You have to dig for gold yourself. It's here, all over the place. And just like you everyone here is a miner. Difference is...they're all carrying their own picks and shovels. Not expecting other people to carry theirs AND asking them to point out the gold veins.

Nigga please.

I've learned (or know where to find) pretty much everything I can about affiliate marketing from here. At this point, I know I'm on my own... and if I run into some problems I know where to turn. If someone posts some golden nugget of info, whatever.

My time is better spent just grinding away and finding my own secrets, rather than wasting hours hoping someone else will make me rich.

What the hell are you talking about? look around at the stickies in these forums, and some of the more popular posts, and some of the PHP snippets and scripts posted her for free! You would pay top dollar for that info as an ebook, dvd, audio files, scripts etc... anywhere else.

If you don't believe me then you really haven't been to many of the other industry forums.

There are things here that would be sold as "industry secrets only the gurus use" bla bla bla

So get a sack and get to work

I have read a lot about how people 'learned so much' etc etc. That is cool. I'm sure there is a lot to learn if you are a novice. But I already know how to build a webpage. I don't use geocities or lycos and I know how to install a wordpross template, cloak an affiliate link, write a blog entry, and copy paste a URL. So does that make me an expert? Maybe, but I don't earn like one it seems.
 
I know HTML, mastered Joomla CMS, I can hack a PHP template and make it sing to me, I know how to hack vbulletin to make it do things people dream of, I know how to do server installations. I know how to set up mail clients, install websites, and I know more than I really care to know about propagating DNS.

I've made as little as negative 1500 in one month and as much as 25K in one month.

That doesn't make me creative, or have the answer, or know how to consistently guarantee myself an income. If I knew how to do that, I wouldn't be here. Actually, I would be. Helping other people in whatever way I could to make their road easier.

What works for me won't work for most people here because of the niche I'm in, and have developed for over 5 years. There are a lot of factors involved in my road to success that most people can't apply. Just like I can't apply their factors into my road.

So what I do is take what I think will work for me, slice it and dice it and go for it. If it works great. If not, I'll try something else.

In order to make money online you have to give people a reason to do whatever it is you want them to do at your site (click an ad, buy a product, give up an email). Find out what you want them to do....making them do it is up to you.

Here are the levels of skill:

5. Complete Dumbass: uses geocites and AOL. <--YOU BEFORE WICKEDFIRE.

4. Basic shithead: Knows how to install a wordpross template, cloak an affiliate link, write a blog entry, and copy paste a URL <-YOU ARE HERE

3. Affiliate: knows the basic shithead moves, but can actually make a profitable niche, website, or network.

2. Affiliate-whore: Has found a rhythm, and the only thing stopping them from bank is time.

first of all im an ass so lets get that out of the way.....i actually see what he's saying here and why I started my own lame blog that I have been posting on and not watching my arbi campains.....so they are fucking up

many peoplke know whats up with design, wp, plug ins and shit but they couldn't come up with an original idea if there was a gun to their head....thats where they will fail

my ass can't even set up a pre-designed blog, i cant even do basic html but i made sick money cause i have ideas at my ass.
