i didnt even know when it happened, i just noticed it one day. looks like i was in a spot, and some mother fucker in the spot beside me reversed, and drug their bumper along the side of my passenger door, and rear passenger door, creating a wave all along the side of the car.

stealership wants 3k for new doors. other cheaper places say they can repair it for less, but im reluctant as it was brand new when i got it and dont want someone to halfass it.

does not feel good man :wtc:

part of me wants to get it done through the insurance - but this will leave a dent on the carfax report

the other part wants to pay cash to get it fixed under the table.

last part wants some csi shit done so they can find the woman that did it and ___________ .

Who cares if it shows up on the carfax? If you get it fixed properly it should be as good as new. This sounds much better than the halfassed under the table guys.

If you go the insurance way, depending on the state you live in and the kind of coverage you have, you could also claim diminished value and pocket a couple of grand.

Insurance companies will often deny paying that, so you might need a contingency-fee lawyer to fight it for you.

If he wants to sell it, it won't fetch the same price.

It shows up on your carfax if you make an insurance claim on the car...

Lol sorry but when you're so stupid... like to drive $300 cars because it's funny to break them. Maybe I made the damage on your car it's big fun and doesn't bother me much ya know.

It will only reduce the value of the car a little bit if you get it fixed properly and it's reported to carfax. It's definitely worth it. I had 6k damage done on my 50k car and it only reduced the value $133 because I had it done directly through the dealer and the job was absolutely seamless.

And it wont cause problems later for this not being on the report and also being done under the table? If not for him what about the next owner of the car. This is a shady as hell idea just to try and save himself a few bucks.

Just man up and get it properly fixed it wont cost you shit if your insurance fixes it.

I caught some motherfucker backing up into my car - at a liquor store of all places :P Called the insurance, all repaired, no extra fees/charges per month...

I suggest you do the same - even though you don't know who it was... it wasn't your fault, your insurance shouldn't go up.

Dude it is a fucking Hyundai not even a Honda who the fuck cares - besides the piece of shit will not make it to the point to when you can sell it .... except to a scrap yard and trust me they dont give a fuck about a dirty carfax.... if your panties are all bundled up about it just wait till you get a nice car behind you and slam on the brakes + E-brake and brace for impact = New car + $$$$ and dont have to worry about a thing, just make certain you are going at least highway speed.
