Some music I wrote/recorded..

I like it. Do you play all those instruments, or did you just mix it all?

i'd have to be one rich mf'er to own all those instruments. The first thing I recorded was me playing the piano (via midi) and then began to layer orchestra synths which I played via keyboard as well.

I see. But you'll forgive me for assuming that you could be a high roller. There are some rich mother fuckers that hang around here.

I really like it. I would ask to get the dry sounds off you and be allowed to make a remix, but the truth is I haven't fired up my DAW in at least a year, so I'm unlikely to now!

thx. I go through waves of motivation to write / record too.. the last drought lasted 3 years, didn't touch a single instrument.

I like it! Seriously it sounds good, but I just felt like it needed to break out, if you know what I mean? You were building the suspense, and it ended with no release. Since you said 50% complete, maybe in the final cut?

very professional

sounds like a Movie track in the beginning for some Film noir

When I heard it it made me think of Hybird without the beats. I wanted to take it and add some mellow breaks, some dirty synths and create something a bit more down tempo than hybrid, but not that dissimilar.

In fact, listening to these 3 tracks has inspired me.

Dreamache, would you consider allowing me to have a bit of fun - although there's a very high chance I won't?!

Sure, but after I'm finished ;P I'm close to finalizing the piano part, so the rest will come quickly after. I'll hit you up.

Sweet. Don't go to any trouble though, because there's a strong possibility the fear of familiarising myself with Cubase SX again (along with the potential weeks of time it can consume when making tunes), might put me off ever trying! :)

Impressive.

Could you post your equipment/software/sound-library list please (especially whatever you used for the orchestral sounds), if it's not too much trouble?

Cheers.

Sounds really awesome. I love where it picks up around :55. Almost has a Hans Zimmer - Time vibe going on :)

If I had to critique it I would say to carry some of your parts out more. It sounds like you get a good vibe going but then change away from it before letting the listener really connect with it.

Which VSTs are you using?
