I have always wondered how this works, hopefully somebody will have more an idea that me.

Lets say I have a site - mysite.com, and I want to rank this site for the keyword "wickedfire", I therefore build 5 buffer sites around this site, all pointing to mysite.com with the anchor text "wickedfire".

Then, the usual thing to do is spam blog comments / profiles or whatever to the buffer sites. However, here is what im wondering: The reason we do this is to pass link juice to mysite.com, but would a profile link with the anchor "cheese" to the buffer site make any difference that having "wickedfire" pointing to the buffer site.

What i'm basically asking is, do sites pass along anchor text juice?

Sorry if what I'm asking doesn't make sense, If you can't understand I'll try and explain it better.

Depends. Do you want your buffer sites to out rank your money site for your anchor terms?

I'd say make the links to the buffer sites be relevant anchor text to that site's content.

Example:

I want to rank for 'apples' i make an article about apple pies for a buffer site. Then my links to my money site will be 'apples' but my links to my apple pie article is going to be 'apple pie' and its variations.

This way you're improving the link quality to your buffer sites by making them relevant and making it where they might not so easily be discounted as worthless links from the Google Algo and you avoid the situation where your buffer site might outrank your money site for that exact anchor text.

I don't think there is really a wrong way to do it depending on your setup. This is just how i do it.

Thats the way I have always done it, but I didn't know if it made a difference, and wondered what views everyone else had :p

well in my opinion by making buffer sites with articles or news relating to your niche and then blasting them with links . you are making them sort of mini authority website in your niche and then when you have them linked back to you they pass there authority to yours.

Just an opinion here.
