I need some new speakers for my office so I can blast my getting monies musics. Anyone have any recommendations?

Depending upon the size of your room and assuming you are using your computer or ipod as a source, I would go with an active (powered) studio monitor like the Mackie HR824 or HR624.

They are overkill, but I have Rokit 8's. As Jizzlobber suggested, they are powered studio monitors and they sound amazing.

I'm not trying to spend $500.

can someone give me some options in the $50-$150 range

My first set of active monitors were Alesis, affordable and studio quality for a great sound whether you're a producer or just like to hear quality.

For that price range I'd recommend the

Logitech Z-2300 THX-Certified

They sound great for less than $100

those are the logitechs i have too. great bargain. i bought mine for 75(used), dunno how much they are going for nowadays.

I have to agree with the others, before I had my Rokit 8's, I had a cheap set of logitech speakers and they sounded like much more expensive speakers. I did ruin them eventually with loud playing, but it took a couple years and they were only like $40.

I have Rokit 5's - primarily for music production. For computer 'tunes listening in that range get a 2.1 logitech system if you want the sub sucking up space, or just two decent speakers would be my move.

I have these. Ballin out of control.

i bought them.

no amp in the office, minimal space was important and was looking for a cheap solution since this isn't for my movie room, bedroom, or living room. I should have provided more info initially.

I'm looking to upgrade my speakers in my living room and I do have an amp there. You guys seem to really like Rokit speakers, my living room is about 20x15 , would those make sense in that kinda space?
