So if someone buys the whole thing for $70, footer won't be encrypted, but if he buys just a single link for $20, it will be encrypted?

If you buy the theme for $70, you own the theme and you will receive all source code to the theme to do with as you please.

If you buy a single link, we encrypt the footer so that any one downloading the theme will not be able to remove your link, thus giving you maximum back links to your site.
