Starbucks getting sued over a coupon

Just some idiot trying to exploit something for money. Well, that or she's addicted to starbucks coffee like a crack fiend that she'll do whatever it takes. Plus it really doesn't make sense for 114 million, since I doubt any of the other coupon holders will see a dime if she (god forbid) wins.

In a class action lawsuit, were the class to win, you could recieve your portion of the money by proving you had the coupon in your possession prior to the lawsuit's filing. This would be hard to prove, but nonetheless possible.

She has to sue for $114Million because each person in the class action suit only gets a percentage based on the win. If only 2 people end up "being in the class" they don't split the $114 million... they will get however much the drink was worth (probably a couple bucks).

The $114 million pricetag is based on the estimated number of possible plaintiffs in the class action suit.

I'm not a lawyer and this isn't fact, but it's my educated guess. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong. It's not like this person spilled hot coffee on themselves and wanted $114million.

In other news, your mom eats butts.

Oh. People and money these days...

Starbucks is dumb. They should have sucked it up and seen what happened. If 20% of the people bought a $6.00 biscotte, they would have made a profit.

The lawsuit is dumb, but I do not think Starbucks was on very firm ground in pulling the offer.

I'm heavily biased in Starbucks' favor. I love their special coffee drinks and since I live across the road from one, I'm a regular, they know me personally. If I sat inside, I'd have my own special table.

Maybe I should ask them to put a picture of me on the wall.
