I know there are some good sites to get free pics from. The thing is the girls aren't good on these free sites, am I likely to get in trouble using photos from google images or anywhere else online? Anyone else blatantly steal non free pics and get away with it, or should I buy to be safe?

I'm just starting in a dating niche so it could take a lot of those $1 pics from fotolia before I find the best one. I thought best option maybe to steal for now then buy when one converts to be safe. I forgot how to get the pics from fotolia without the watermark though, I read a way to do it once.

wait what are you looking for dating images? like facebook sized stuff. your not going to find any good images for dating ads on istock or something cuz they are too professional. Check out modelmayhem.com, message some chicks and send them a specific list of what your looking for in your pics ( like for instance, show some clevage but keep it classy if your planning to run on fb). I pay out like $5 for each image they send me that I end up using. Some girls are hella good at it and have the right look and I have a contract with them where I just buy every photo they take that they were gonna upload to facebook or some shit for a flat fee.

damn didn't know getty images owned that. i use that site for like backgrounds etc anything non dating.

shit, really? did they get acquired or has that always been the case?

Acquired.

What does it mean to SXC users?

  • We're committed to making all the files in the SXC collection safe and reliable, ensuring that any time you use a file from here, it's with confidence.
  • The technology team behind iStockphoto, the world's number one microstock site, will keep SXC fast, stable and secure. In fact, we've upgraded much of the hardware recently, and done a full security audit.
  • SXC will be part of a strong family of companies, meaning lots of opportunities for members at our brother and sister sites.

Most of all though, we want to keep doing all the things that have already made SXC the success it is, and see it continue to grow and thrive.

It really depends on the amount of risk you want to take man. If you go ahead and bum some random chick's profile picture and use that for say 50,000 impressions a day, I highly doubt anything will happen. If you're doing a media buy or something that is going to get a shit ton of attention, I would recommend owning the image in case the actual owner stumbles across one of your ads and decides to fuck you.

If you're making $7.50 a month with AdSense, it's probably okay to steal the photos until you can afford the 2-ply toilet paper. THEN buy them.
