Stop yourself from getting Dick-Rolled!

Well, The other day one of my friends got Dick Rolled browsing the net on my PC, while I was on phone outside of my room. She apparently clicked one of those links on wickedfire, too bad I forgot to close the tab. I could hear the music from outside and by the time I got back she was with a red face trying to log in to the system. Anyway, I was kind of pissed off. If anybody thinks they need to put a stop to these kind of embarrassing situations, follow these steps.

This is only for firefox 3.0.4 on Windows XP (if that makes any difference)!

Download and install policy manager add on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7066 (you need to log in to Mozilla to download). Then it would ask you to restart firefox, restart it and go to "Tools" and click on "Policy Manager" a window pops out, then click on "create new policy" and name it some "Banned sites" or anything. Then Right click on the policy you just created and select "edit policy" in the "General" tab select the rightside radio buttons (ie all should be "disable" or "block" "don't load") then click ok and again right click on the policy and select "add new site to this list". Now enter both versions(http:// and http://www.) of make*****.com. (you have to do it twice, seperately for both the versions of the URLs, WE SURELY DON'T KNOW WHICH VERSION OF THE FLYING DICKS ARE GOING TO STRIKE YOU).

Now install Adblock plus if you don't have it installed already https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 restart firefox and go to "Tools" --> "adblock plus preferences" and click on "Add filter" and then enter both versions of make monies URLs (again, one at a time, CLICK THE ok BUTTON AFTER ENTERING EACH URL). Now, Restart firefox and click on this link Make Money Online.

Maybe, there should be an easy way to block it. I tried editing hosts file and some other scripts but none worked out. For all the Dick Rollers don't flame me for crashing your party.

Are you missing out on FLYING DICKS so badly? Undo adblock plus filters to view only flying dicks with music or Undo all the settings for a full fledged Dick Roll Show :rolleyes:.

That's a very nice plugin. Anyway I use master password feature on my firefox browser.

Oh No, This is the second time I have failed here. Seems I got too much time to fail and ain't got time to pass.

By the way, How do you edit the "hosts" file? I tried some shit like "127.0.0.1 and "the site name" beside it. It didn't work.
 
0.0.0.0 makemoniesonline.com in the hostfile

or you can just install noscript... no one should surf without it anyway.
 
Why didn't you just appreciate the hilarity of the situation?

I mean, you accidentally dickrolled your friend. Could there be a more perfect DR then that?

Instead of spoon feeding, just Google it for the instructions. And after you're done editing change the permissions of the hosts file to be read only. That way you can hopefully avoid unauthorized changes or additions to the file later on.
