It's a nice mainstream name for a file storage site. That's the first online niche that comes to mind--online data storage. It would also be a good site for offline storage--maybe a directory site? Easy to brand too. Has that "friendly neighbor" ring. Your biggest competitors would be megaupload.com and rapidshare.de
File storage is a huge niche with a LOT of traffic since it's a valuable tool for users to exchange files that are too big or sensitive for email. It is very viral since users learn about your site from using it and they "educate" their friends of its value by passing the download link to them.
Plus side of data storage business model:
Very viral
Good traffic potential
Fairly easy to promote--just post materials and send to friends and have the download interface/page educate downloaders on how to start storing THEIR files.
Easy to plug in to areas that already have heavy traffic--social networking sites, for example.
Negative side of the business model:
Using adsense as primary ad revenue is problematic -- most of the time, the files are not keyword targeted or even accurately identified.
Possibly illegal content -- porn, spyware, crapware, warez, you name it people use file sharing systems to swap these types of materials.
High bandwidth bills -- unless you can set up a very very cheap bulk hosting plan that uses cheap providers like Cogent or Verio, expect to see your ROI deflated seriously by large bandwidth bills.
My company
http://www.webmasterlabor.com has promoted these types of sites before through our dedicated poster program. At $620 a month, a dedicated poster will upload materials to the site and post on forums sharing the content with forum members. Other forum members then start posting their OWN materials and telling other people and so on and so forth. We have a HUGE list of user forums that allow for these entertainment links. We also promoted these via social networking sites.
Best of luck to you!
