Storm Chasers premiered tonight on Disc. Channel



Well judging by nobody posting... your the only guy who watches it.

Shitty show, who cares about tornados, nothing ever happens, cool your chasing tornados, who cares.

These type of shit shows don't need to be on discovery.
 
I remember back when channels like Discovery, History, and TLC were educational, and not littered with shows about Nostradamus, aliens, and pawn shops. Unless I am missing something, Storm Chasers looks to be on the same league as the other junk-food they are showing now. No offense, just sayin'.

I watch the show also. I haven't seen the new one yet, but it's on the DVR.

These guys get some crazy impressive video, and I'm surprised at the hate here for it. I'd be willing to bet these guys that will drive a modified vehicle into the center of one have bigger balls than most of the guys in this forum...especially the couple here saying it's stupid.

I have never watched the show, but the Texas storm chaser Facebook group was very helpful by passing on info during the recent Texas wildfires. So I have to give them a "like"...but probably still won't watch the show.

wtf are you talking about, "nothing ever happens"? They've intercepted tornados plenty of times and the footage is pretty awesome in some of the cases. it's a good balance between the science of violent weather and entertainment.

Storm chasers actually has something to do with real science, with a direct purpose of improving science. There's no comparing it to shows like pawn stars or that other crap that has no scientific premise.
 
I had hopes for it when it first came on the air... but like every other retarded show on Discovery these days, it turned into a scripted piece of shit drama. That and the "characters" are annoying as fuck. To say Storm Chasers is a science based show is a joke. The Weather Channel has an actual science based storm chasing show that blows Storm Chasers away.

Fine, it's more like 90% drama/story/entertainment and 10% science. But at least the intention is scientific in what they're trying to accomplish. They're not intercepting the tornados for shits and kicks.

The show should be a great watch for any tornado enthusiast on account of the awesome footage they get.

You guys, so hardcore you are. ;)


Edit: Those griping about the crap on discovery channel, they've shifted more of the scientific programming to their sister channel "Science Channel". Though looking at their site, they have plenty of shit reality shows too.
