This has to do with my primary business which is contracting/construction. I would like to know if there is a more efficient way to strengthen the services on my site/ per town without building links that say *the service town, state. All the towns have their own landing pages with services for each town on that page optimized.
If backlinking is done for lets say for example bathroom remodeling does it affect it for the state and town level, assuming it does have the towns on the targeted page as well. I started out targeting the services at the state level which didnt necessarily translate into an increase in town rankings. I then began pumping out a handful of blogs with the towns and the rankings moved.
My observations are that service magic, yellow pages, angies list ect all have first page presence when searching at the town levels, but it would be impossible to attempt to rank at the town level in the entire country, which leads me to this question.
