Strong August anyone???

Hey, I was just curious if anyone else noticed a recent 'uptick' in the affiliate marketing world this month? I don't remember last August being this strong at all. I was just wondering if it was a trend for everyone, or maybe just hitting a hot spot?

I remember last August/September being pretty lame months overall...
 


yea that's what I thought. maybe that was what this post was designed to do! lets all join market leverage now :)
 
i'd apply, but i would obv jut get denied and then have to appeal...

...actually, if you can promise a strong september, complete with "uptick," i might join.
 
Affiliate marketing is always on an uptick, some networks feel it more than others, if you guys are having a good august, congratulations.

Internet ad spending is rising each month, its only going to get bigger.
 
you guys can take it however you want...i was just curious to see if other emailers, networks, search guys, webmasters were having a strong month...i don't publish myself, it's just nice to see growth! Maybe yahoo or hotmail opened their gates, or dev guys are just getting better at figuring out the tricks...who knows?
 
July was actually a really shitty month for us, in terms of traffic here on the forum. The dates during ASE spiked pretty high, but since then it was crap, mostly because of people not being around or the lax environment of summer. It has significantly risen over the last week though. I think you guys are going to see a shitload of volume come September and October, and then of course holiday season as usual. Fall and Winter always seem to be winners because people spend way more time indoors, online and shopping buying/researching in the Winter especially.

If you network guys want to give me access to some traffic logs or just report numbers, it would be interesting to see so you can predict when to launch certain campaigns or when to issue a bigger push on certain campaigns too. I have a lot of affiliate data on the topic, but no real network data.
