the reason they're happier is probably because of the lifestyles they live that cause them to not have sex before marriage in the first place, not directly because they wait to have sex. I am anecdotally confident that it isn't normal to wait until marriage for sex in America, so the population in the study is an abnormal subset of the population at large.
