I use subid tracking on all my aff links and after going through all my data last month I have a lot of leads that I can't determine where they came from because nothing showed up for the subid.

I checked everything and all my links have a specified subid for it.

Is it just a hicup in tracking with subid?

I like the ghost leads but would be nice for my stats on which landing page they came from.

Yeah impression are being track and clicks but some conversions won't record a subid.

For example, I have 3 landing pages for one campaign. One for MSN, one for Google, and one for Yahoo.

They links on each landing page have a subid to corespond to which PPC campaign it came from when it converts. ie: subid = msn-1 (link 1 on the msn landing page).

But sometimes when I get a conversion no subid data shows up for it so I'm not sure which landing page it came from.

No big deal, I just put those leads in a "other" catagory for my data and divide those earnings across all three to try and even it out.

I hate this with some networks, they give you all of the information, click through rate, epc, impressions, how much you've made, they say oh look we have the best tracking around, all these things are good yes but I believe every network should be giving us the ability to see where our clicks are coming from, that would be great knowledge.

Since most of the networks I sign up for have no way of telling me which sites my clicks are coming from, I don't really have a way of seeing exactly where my conversions are coming from, more and more networks are like this, not all but the ones I seen are like this.

Which leaves me only one choice and that is to say fuck em, fuck em all and create my own tracking, still haven't gotten it done yet but when I do have it done I'll share it with everyone, I'll find a way to have a simple script or tool that you can use to easily tell you exactly where all your clicks are coming from, no matter which network your using.

Sorry if this seems like I was hi-jacking the thread but I really didn't have a solution to your problem so I thought I'd share my feelings on the subject.

i'd talk to your affiliate manager about it X. perhaps that offer doesn't support sub_ids. i haven't had any problem when i've used subids mostly at linkshare & cj. haven't really used them at copeac & az yet.

The offer does support subids because most I get the tracking info on.

I wasn't sure if it was something I was doing or common and it appears to be common.

Aequitas - if the network uses DT you can get the DT bid management service which has a monthly fee that "I think" gives you all the good data. I haven't used it or tried it because it's not something I want to fit into my budget just yet.

I know I could set up something a lot better but right now it's not at the top of my list for things to do.

I know how you feel I would like to finish up a solid tracking system but its not going to be my #1 priority right now and thanks for the little tip on DT.

Also if you use Copeac talk to Mike 'cause he might be able to get you a free trial run on that DT bid management.

I haven't asked yet 'cause I'm not ready to start paying for it if I like it. :p
