This is something in stealth Beta right now, and ready to launch in a week, but I don't quite like the name I have.

I want the name to be slightly Cocky.
This app should appeal to Innovators and Early Adopters.
The kind of people who stands in queue from Midnight for the first glimpse of iPad2.

What would you name it?

The name should somehow translate to: I drive a Tesla, Biatch!

Honestly if your app is good the name won't matter much.

Reddit, 4chan, foursquare, wickedfire, all stupid names but great websites. Great websites attract people, names are close to meaningless.

frid.ge ???? Come on.

^^ I won't know that the App is good until it is launched, but a name does matter my friend. I just think it is good, but then you never know.

There will people people who will click on it on facebook share if the name is good.
And there are several other reasons.

Given a choice, would you rather have a "Good app with a Good name" or a "Good app with a lousy name"

I have a name already but I am just looking to see If I get a last minute idea. I have spent several man days and money on this, without giving much thought to a name. It just struck my mind today, that a good name might give a bit of a nudge in my Social campaign.. And why not?

I am not banking solely on the "name". I am not hoping that the name will make it or break it. But I thought a good catchy name might be a good thing.

At least hint at what the app does. When you say "I drive a Tesla Biatch" I get visions of a vegan homo telling off a waiter for bringing out still water instead of sparkling. And if that's all I have to work with my suggestion would be rimjobbr.com (notice the missing "e" between the b and r, this is indicative of a dynamic, agile, game changing web 2.0 startup ready to disrupt some industry or maybe just piss away VC pretend money)

Just call it what it is. Facebook, eBay, Pornhub, Westjet, Bank of America. Simple short words that describe exactly what the fuck it is. Can't go wrong.

But don't lie. You sell me a product called The Dicksucker, I expect to be blowing my load five minutes after I open the box.

That is the current name now. Sounds quite bland.

Who cares. What if Dropbox was called Filebag? Everybody would still use it because it's a great product. If it was called El Shoora's Great Bag of Holding people would probably still use it and the community would give it a nickname the same way we deal with people whose first names are retarded.

Look on Freshdrop for dropping 5 letter .com domains, or random dictionary words? There's usally a few "brandables" in the Closeouts or Reg Fee sections
