for certain topics i feel, that a wiki would be a great tool to have to conserve all that wisdom that is buried in the threads. for sure there are quite some sticky threads but those are growing big and have sometimes quite some overloaded contents. so, in a wiki, everything worthy could be extracted from the threads and be maintained there.
