I got like 3 files on my computer I'd like to keep a back-up version of, they're excel files; - is there a way to make it so that when I edit them and save, the updated version also backs up to Dropbox, for example?

Anyone know how to do this?
 


Just keep the files in your dropbox folder. Any time you do anything to them, dropbox when set up correctly (default settings) will automatically sync them.

If you later on go to dropbox.com you'll be able to pull previous copies etc..

I've got some small business customers who's quickbook files I sync via dropbox.

We've done disaster recovery, in which we turned all pc's off, grabbed a new pc installed quickbooks and then pulled the latest file from dropbox servers. Worked like a charm and client was 'back in business' in under 8 hours (buy pc, install quickbooks etc. all figured in).
