What would it cost and how long would it take to get a back tattoo of this complexity?

This tattoo is of warhammer which is faggotry, so obvi it would be a different picture. same level of detail though

Also I imagine finding an artist good enough might not be easy.. I assume youd prolly have to go to LA or some major city.

Warhammer or not, thats fucking Hardcore right there, would never do it but looks sick as hell. I'd imagine something like that costing upwards of 5 figures, it just so detailed and so muich color, it would take SOOOO many hours

A tattoo like this would have to be done in sets. Cannot be done/created at once, because of the complexity. Not sure how much you know about tattoos, but they'd have to do the outline first, in black ink, then start adding dimension to it by filling it in, adding shading/shades and other things, then once again, do the same thing with the colored ink. Colored ink is also more painful than black ink, so that can also limit how long you are in for each session.

Full back tattoos can range upwards of 2000$. However, color tattoos are ALWAYS more.

Tattoo artists charge between $35 to $100 dollars an hour, so keep that in mind as a general guide. Since your tattoo would take a few trips (At least 3+), if you are spending 8 hours or more there, you can get a ball park figure. Also, if the tattoo artist is slower, you should take that into consideration as well, and should ask them their speed.

You may also want to visit the shops and see some previous work done, as I am sure many have had similar work, and have portfolios. They can tell you how long each tattoo took.

The guy in the picture is pretty serious. He had to grow out his love handles to fit the wider bottom of the tattoo on his back without it wrapping around his sides.

If it costs 2-3k or less I would be leery. Visit as many shops as possible and even ask to meat some clients that have the same sort of tattoos that you are requesting. I've seen some dumbasses go to a decent shop, pay a relatively low price and get tattoos done that the artist doesn't have as much experience with and they come out mediocre.

Good luck
