I taught her this tonight, took about 5 minutes which was pretty surprising, thought it would take days.

Today a bag of weed, tomorrow a nuclear bomb hidden in a Muslims underwear.

If anyone is wondering, she is obsessed with her ball and loves to play fetch, and she knows when I say "ball" what I'm talking about. So I just showed her the bag of marijuana and let her smell it while saying "ball" like 20 times.

Then, I locked her out of the room, hid the bag, and she knew to go find the weed. It was actually easier than I thought it would be.

Nice, although I'd go with a different command, else when you wanna play fetch with her, she'll go find your weed, and when you wanna find your weed, she'll run outside.
 
Will be impressed when you teach your dog how to find weed in the woods :P

Some dogs learn super fast, my lab knows the name of each of his toys (roughly 10) and each time we get a new one, we name it.
 
My stupid dog can't even learn how to catch the disc after 3 months of training.

Maybe i am just suck at teaching (dog).
 
I met a guy that trains drug dogs, search and rescue dogs, etc and pretty much he did the same thing. He had 3 boxes and would hide weed in one of them, then would take the ball and put it in the box with the weed and use "find it" as the command.

If it's a German Shepherd, he will have an easier time if you give the commands in German. Some of them just refuse to learn English, and will sit there lick their balls.
