Officials are saying that the power went out for 1.4-2 million customers because of something a single worker did, that combined with fail-safes, that well, failed.

When they say 1.4-2 million customers were affected, that means just that, households, businesses, etc, not the actual amount of people affected. The areas are home to about 6 million.

Personally, I enjoyed the one night where you could actually look outside and see stars, I went to bed at a normal time and just woke up (4:50 am). lol whatever, back to work.

I remember when that happened in Toronto and New York years ago. Power was out for a couple days. Hanging out with friends, cooking with these little propane camping BBQs. Ahhh, good times.

I know right. Had a BBQ last night with my family and neighbors. Then this morning when I woke up the power was back on (obviously) and the first thing I told myself "well, back to ignoring everyone." 'Tis sad really.
