Y’all love SEO articles and basic content around here with good reason – basic article writing has a specific purpose and since you almost always need it in bulk to maximize those keywords, you also need it cheap.
If I were pushing hundreds of articles about [insert latest fad keyword here] onto EZA and my link wheel, I’d want cheap articles, too.
But there is material well beyond the cheap articles you’re likely familiar with, and lately questions about white papers, press releases and other professional materials are springing up around the forum.
Please don’t ask your basic article writer to prepare professional level materials. You’ll regret it – if not immediately, down the road when you realize the missed opportunity. I’m sure your writer is excellent with the work you’re currently sending over, but a white paper or press release is a far cry from an article wrapped around two keywords.
Just to be clear:
A press release isn’t an article. If you’re submitting press releases that read like an information article or a hard sales page, you’re likely getting links, but you’re not winning over any media or social networkers and niche bloggers who can create real traffic and effective branding.
A white paper isn’t just a long article. White papers are a very specific form of public relations work. They are more similar to technical writing than anything else and require a different feel and approach than an ebook or article. A well-written white paper is powerful marketing material.
Website copy is not always an overbearing landing page or sales letter. Do sales letters work? Absolutely. Do they work all the time? Nope. Website copy that speaks from a position of authority creates a soft sell – much like a white paper. Information gently coerces readers into the right decisions – which results in a conversion for you, of course.
If you need SEO articles on the cheap, I can’t help you. But if you need professional level materials, I can.
My special offer for WF members:
Press releases $75 (Normally $99)
White papers and website copy $75 per page (Normally $100+)
PM or email through my site, internetauthor.net, for more information and questions about how I can help you and your business.
