Anyone watches that stupid show?

The only reason I sometimes watch it is because they always have IM millionaires on there. Fucking internet entrepreneurs are so awkward to watch trying to pick up girls lol... nerds 4 life. The most awkward one I've seen was the CEO of Box.net, that guy is the definition of nerd. Not to mention he looks like he's 14.

Why do guys go on that show anyway? Fuck are they that desperate?

Watched only one episode and it was the one with the box.net ceo. I have no idea why they would go on. First the matchmaker seems bitchy. Second the girls look like gold diggers/are gold digger.

yeah, they pay Pattie like 30k to be bitched at and humiliated on national TV. Plus the matches almost NEVER work out in the end.

A better question is, "How did Stanger manage to thrust herself into that market and dominate it?"

Finding Love for Millionaires | Inc.com

You have to find things that nobody has and that they need. Stop ripping everybody else off. Look at the market and see where it's going. Read your magazines. I'm a magazine whore. I sat down and said, "What are they missing here?" With sites like Match.com, there was no personal attention, and you weren't even guaranteed a date. Who would join a service that didn't guarantee you a date? And then I asked myself, "What's the market I want to work with the most?" That was millionaires.

Simple. Smart.

She has also been very savvy at building her brand...

exposure for the company.. I doubt he went to hook up

This.

I saw an episode of this show several months ago with "Sex Toy Dave" - basically he lives like a rockstar. He was quoted talking about how the show gave his business more exposure.

I'm sure there are a few folks who do it for the ego trip of being on TV. Most however, are shrewd businessmen who know that a show like that will get them millions of free impressions.

I hate this stupid cunt so much I had to stop watching the show. She constantly bashes guys who want to date younger women and calls it 'inappropriate.' "What, why do you want to date that hot 25 year old? No. You need a divorced woman of 47 that's 'age appropriate' for you." Apparently she gets jealous because she's a fat, transsexual cow that nobody would want to be seen in public with, let alone date.

I love seeing the people go out on dates but my unbridled hatred for her makes it impossible to even tune into the show anymore.

It is difficult to know whether she believes anything she says. Once you hit the reality TV circuit, everything is geared toward the numbers. More eyeballs, more advertisers, high ad rates, etc.

That's why Jillian Michaels (sp?) often showed up for work in a small top. It's why Jeff Probst works so hard on narrating challenges (note his answer to the third question). And it's why Gordon Ramsay does everything he can to come across as a jerk.

Does Stanger believe her own words? Hard to tell. But lots of folks - including marketers - know who she is. She must be doing something right.

I'm mostly interested in her building the Millionaire's Club. That said, her reality TV show is a good study in personal branding.

Also, keep in mind this quote from Bill Cosby:

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

Sounds about right. Just look at our most polarizing troll, ChickenFucker. :)

Actually, I've met 2 different women who worked with her and they both said she's a bitch in real life. It's no act.

As for finding a niche, I'm pretty sure most of her success is due to the fact that she has a TV show.
