hey,
im looking to read an affiliate book as an introduction to understanding the big picture.
i know its mainly reading from sites, as books tend to not be up to date, but is there a book(or ebook) that is regarded by this community as quality enough for an intredaction?

i know a book by this gardner lady, and another one by a man which i dont remember the name.
they use a few tools in the book that arent available anymore(like the yahoo tool).

so is there a book worthy as intredaction besides the articles in here?
thanks

didn't shoemoney have a newb guide out recently? Probably on his site somewhere - imagine it pitches his tools pretty hard, but I'd guess most of it is on-point.

shoemoney guide is great guide for getting started and he goes into a lot of detail. I wouldn't suggest buying an e-book.

thanks for nickycakes site, it looks solid.
i have another little question and it will be shame to open a new thread.

i dont have an international credit(or credit card at all, and not money (: lol ) i have an option to do a temporary one at the post office.
i also dont talk english as a main language, and i know that i will need to have quality articles.

does it mean i will have much expenses at the beginning? or not everything is money in this buisness as it is hard work, and you can find ways to cut?

well, i know make monies online from 2 hours ago, so fuck you my friend like the bottom fuck the one in the top (or is it the other way around? im not gonna find out....) (:

Here it is:

Get tracking
Make lander
Buy traffic and see what the converion rates are on that traffic
Lower bids and lower traffic to get the best deal on converting traffic
Repeat

Go to ebook search engine like ebookee.com and search for 'affiliate guide' to know the beginners guide to affiliates. Basically it is like do keyword research on which stuff you are likely to sell as affiliate, buy corresponding domain, set up hosting, write content, make landing page, try to drive traffic to the pages (using ppc or organic traffic), see if you can sell something, etc. etc. If you would like you can ask me questions via PM and I can answer when I get some time.

In any case, if you are not physically located in the countries where the affiliate networks operate from (read: USA) then your chances are pretty much nil in the field of affiliate marketing. For if you put a different address most of the vendors have set up their accounts to 'reject' non-US address affiliates. May be you may want to find a partner in the US who is willing to let you use his address and bank account and who can send you the money via paypal (after taking a commission from it for using his bank account)

Uberaffiliate has a pretty good collection of articles/blog posts on his blog, go google it.

That said, I disagree with 5th dimension:

Most affiliate networks accept Int'l affiliates, not just US. Its a big mistake to cut them out otherwise. I get in nearly any network I apply with, even with a non-US address. An alternative if they really insist is to get a U.S. address. Got mine from USAbox for like $35 with no monthly charges, Google it you can find a few good options.

Since you claim to have no money, no credit card, you seriously should get a job, save up before starting this. You will NEED a credit card or paypal, something to at least buy domains. Else, you're pretty much resigned to using free sites (blogspot, wordpress) that won't really get you far.

There are free methods that you can start on, but that only means much more manual work for yourself; work that you could have otherwise outsourced if you had the cash.

Read up on Travis's Bum marketing method. Might work, but you still need to buy a domain (=initial cost outlay)

i work part time as a beginner php programmer(and get paid as one (: and the knowladge is as one), at a website building company, so i maysolve some issues.

i qwill start reading, thank you very much for all of the answers.

They accept Intl affiliates, the problem comes when it comes time for payment, and because individual vendors (part of the affiliate networks like CJ) usually reject non-US affiliates without even accepting the application.

When it comes time for payment - most of them pay by check, not via paypal, so that means you will also need a US bank account or access to one. For opening a US bank a/c you will need to deposit something around $500 I guess, and you cant take that money out, for it will need to remain with the bank as min balance. Your best bet is to find a person who does this for a living or as a side effort - lets you use his bank account, name and address, gets accounts approved for phone calls from CPA networks, encashes the checks in his name and pays you via international payment methods (like paypal). Also remember that you have a long way to go to begin earning any money from affiliate promotion methods - the networks would only dispatch your payment after you hit a ceiling like $50 or $100, which is difficult to happen in a short time (unless you put in too much effort into promoting your site), in the time spent for that, you could make more money doing something else. This 'helping' person may also oblige you by sending you instant paypal payments when you hit a sale, so you can have cash for your daily needs, while he waits for final payment frm the networks.

This methodology is the same whether you have credit card, paypal, etc. and buy a domain (or) use the free sites for this purpose. In any case, receiving payment is a big problem unless you have a means of encashing US checks. If you are sending a US check for collection from a third world country, beware that it can take months for your account to see credit. So you will need to encash the check within US, so your US mail box service will need to open the envelope, handle the check, and give you credit somehow. Its too much work, for too little returns too late. I dont mean to discourage you, but for international stuff, better stick with something other than affiliate marketing.

so there is not even 1 affiliate network/program that wii pay me to my israeli acount?
can anybody says if it is the case?
i guess if it is, i can find an israeli person here with a bank acount, but how can i trust one?

I live in Japan and the networks just send me checks and I deposit them. I usually pay $10 fee for the international check and it takes 2 weeks for the checks to clear. Some networks pay by wire transfer but then you have to pay $30 or whatever as a transfer free.

I use Citibank, which is US-based but has divisions in different countries. Do you have them in Israel? I also use a Japanese bank, no problem.

Just ask Bank Le'umi or Bank haPoalim if they cash US checks.

Oh, and Adsense gets deposited directly with no fees. Google has local bank accounts everywhere.

so its much more simple then people may think nowdays?
by "us checks" you mean i get checks by mail and then go deposit them in an israeli bank that will accept them?

so the option of the site deposit the money directly to my israeli bank acount isnt an option?

btw i think we have here american "HSBC Bank plc", will it just be easier to open an acount there?

Affiliates network can send a wire transfer to your Israel bank directly. Or if they send a check, you can always cash it at your local bank (for a fee)
