The Pacific

Just watched the second episode last night - fantastic show.

The first episode of BoB was slow - which I expected this time too - so I was surprised when they jumped right into it.

Also, I like the narration before the episodes.

I missed last Sunday's, but thought the first ep was pretty good. From what I've heard, the scope of this one character wise is suppose to me much more narrow. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

I'm going to try to have some self-control and not watch any of the series it until it's over and then just get the whole thing (and watch it all in a couple days). We'll see how that works out.

I'm watching it, pretty solid so far. I hope they develop some of the characters a bit more. I still don't remember the names of anyone on the show.

watching it now, and i like it a lot. Might just wait for all of the files to be on a torrent site though, the waiting game blows.

so far i'm liking this more than BoB...but Generation Kill will probably be my favorite due to modern warfare, i've never really had a huge war interest pre-vietnam...but BoB and The Pacific are too good to miss.

Started off slow but in retrospect, so did Band of Brothers. The show feels "rushed" at times, as if they wanted to expand on the characters and the plot but didn't have enough time.

Between BoB and Generation Kill, I don't think HBO left a lot of ground to cover. The series definitely isn't bad, but it feels somewhat predictable.

holy crap episode 3 is boring... 12 minutes left and no one's been shot but the farmer's cow.

3rd episode sucked, looks like from the previews that ep4 might get good again
I went all out for episode 3, took 40 minutes to go to chipotle and back just to get my favorite burrito to eat while watching the episode and it was a huge snooze fest.

the pacific doesn't even compare to band of brothers. the characters are hardly developed at all. I mean band of brothers had so many different characters and you knew their names and their ranks and their roles in the company, you cared when they died or got injured... in the pacific I know one guy's name, and thats it. Someone died? who the fuk is he? o well.

why can't the guy from jurassic park fight in the war(or should I say, why won't his father let him fight in the war)? he has a heart murmor, but so do I and I feel normal? I'm confused...
