This is a GREAT trend. If people choose countries based on costs and services, countries will be forced to compete or risk become bankrupt.

When countries compete, you win.

I wish I could find the article, but there was a fairly big story in the new earlier this summer about how Switzerland is considering changing around their tax policies to increase taxes themselves and bring in more revenue from all their rich immigrants.

Perhaps emp could enlighten us on this?

Yeah, Switzerland wouldn't be my first choice - but at least a few people are starting to think about government as they do ever other life choice.

Ocean going vessals tend to register where they deem to be the best value. If people chose their citizenship, business holdings, and personal holdings using cost-benefit analysis the world would be a better place.

A breakthrough in travel costs would probably turn the tide.
