Check this out for the Australian Elections. If I was voting these guys would get it for sure. This is one of their ads.

Barman, it costs $10 for a non voting member, voting member - short of cash $20, voting member - doing ok $50, voting member - doing well $100... You even get your own Sex Party card.

Their website is The Australian Sex Party

They are certainly getting alot of followers... apparently that pic I posted at the top went viral on facebook and twitter... This I cannot confirm for sure but it did come from a member of theirs.

I am going to see them tomorrow at one of their launches... I reckon it will be interesting to say the least.. The head woman in it (the one in the banner above) was on the Today Show...

Word is that they will be releasing some good policies next week... I can see them being in the top 5 political parties here in OZ. The other options are not that great but anyone that is out to protect the interests and private lives of Australians are a sure bet in my book...

I think that they are often setup under false pretences... You hear them pleading poor... Bullshit I say... You never see a poor preist or pastor or whatever they want to be called by the suckers they have cond.

Churches should not own land or buildings. Churches should not be able to run a daycare that competes with secular daycares without the tax burdens that the secular daycares have to deal with.

I'm not saying that you would tax a religion, or a fellowship. Tax the entity that owns that sprawling building that's 4 stories tall and can seat 10,000 people at a time - whether that's a private owner who donates the building to the church or the LLC that leases it.

I don't know. Look very carefully at the facial structure. To me it looks like it might be a transvestite, so don't get yourselves too worked up.

They use female sex hormones to make them look that way. Also look at the way that he's crossing his legs to conceal his penis.

I like the cut of your jib, and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter.

I've uttered these same sentiments many, many times.

Recently a local church was doing special "collections" to help some poor people somewhere. At they same time they dropped $250,000 on a new bell tower (NOTE: $250 large does not buy much bell tower, FYI).

I asked one of the members about it and he said "Oh, that was paid for by a grant from the diocese. We didn't pay for it".

He's obviously a moron - in the Catholic church the "Diocese" is pretty much the equivelant of a county in a US state. He sure as shit did pay for it.

Religions are a business like any other. If you're going to run your church like a business, it needs to be taxed like a business.

So true, try going to a church and offer to give them a bag of rice to give to the needy they will look at you and tell you to get fucked and come back when you have some money in hand.

No matter your religious views - churches DO do some good things for the community.... and their daycare is awesome.

My daughter goes to pre-k at the church. EVERY (and I mean every person dealing with the kids) has been doing it for over 15 years... most almost 30 years. Compare that to the daycares where they are getting paid 8 bucks an hour and aren't much more than kids themselves.

Cost wise - it's cheap as hell. I wouldn't care if it was double or triple the cost, but I'm sure that tax free status the church has helps keep the costs down. It's affordable - and it gives kids a free start WITH OUT your taxes paying for it. Worried about religion being preached? It isn't (*in non-catholic churches*) in the churches we checked out.

(If the churches didn't offer pre-school the government would be doing it - and you would bitch about paying for it since it would sure as shit cost 10 times as much if the gov. run it)

If they run a food bank they will take anything that is safe. Hell most churches run a clothes closet where they take donations as well.

Every "community service" the churches do saves you from some liberal turning said service into a government program. Nothing to bitch about.
